Do's and Don'ts for making your Sacred Space
Whether you use it for chakra balancing, meditation, protection charms, crystal healing, or any other ritual, the space you use to practice must be soothing and personal. Here are the Do's and Don'ts of designating an area to you.
Location
DO: Choose somewhere you feel calm and won't be disturbed. Maybe a place with a window and a view, or a corner of your bedroom or even out in the backyard. (size does not matter.)
DONT: Choose a place that is loud or in the middle of action. Don't choose somewhere with no air flow or natural light.
Cleaning
DO: choose a space that will be easy yo clean. Make sure to put things away after every session. Make sure that people know to keep this space (if its used for multipurpose/people things) to keep it tidy as well.
DONT: choose a space with lots of clutter, or one that is unorganized.
Fresh air
DO: Let in as much fresh air as possible. Add a fan too, the white noise helps with concntration as well as keeping cool.
DONT: Pick a space that is stuffy or dim, And don't let the space get too warm. Warm minds wander.
Colors
DO:Decorate with light colors and pastels. use shades that are calming and happy
Don't: Use harsh colors like red, red is a wonderful color but at times can promote anger and rage. Your vibe is Very important!
Distractions
DO: Leave your phone in another area and tell your spouse and kid(s) that you are going to be busy. To help make it easier on your family, make consistent and dedicated chunks of time to practice so it becomes more expected.
DONT: go into your space thinking about anything else then what you are trying to manifest or let go off during that time, thoughts are our biggest distraction of all.
Music
DO: Play soft music if you'd like in the background.
DONT: play music that you sing a long to or that is overly loud, you wont get into a peaceful state.
